One Powerful Community: Clean Up & Final Push!

May 23, 2025

A Big Week for Downtown Augusta . Over 40 Volunteers. 100+ Bags of Trash. One Powerful Community.

This week, something incredible happened in downtown Augusta. More than 40 volunteers came together with one mission: to show up for the place we love. With over 100 bags of trash collected, the results speak for themselves—but this cleanup effort was about so much more than tidying the streets.

It was about giving back to a city that gives us so much. It was about showing that we’re here, we care, and we’re committed to being good neighbors. We’re building more than clean streets—we’re building a culture of care.

We couldn’t have done it without the support of our amazing partners:

  •  Augusta Downtown Alliance (Jeremy L. Ashlock)
  •  City of Augusta (Augusta Parks and Recreation - Maine)
  •  Kennebec County Recovery Court
  •  Cushnoc Brewing Co.
  •  Dave Dostie

Thank you for helping us turn energy and intention into meaningful impact.

And this is just the beginning. The Access Center is getting closer to opening its doors—we’re aiming for mid-June! This new space will be a hub for harm reduction, community connection, and recovery support, and we can’t wait to build it with all of you.

Let’s keep building the solutions we need—together.
