community CLEANUPs
Our Commitment to our Community.
Because being a good neighbor isn’t just something we say—it’s something we do.
As part of our commitment to being responsible, engaged, and respectful members of the Augusta Downtown community—and the entire state of Maine—we proudly organize community clean-up days where volunteers come together to beautify shared spaces and build stronger connections.
At the heart of our work is a belief that our recovery and harm reduction principles include taking direct action to create safe, welcoming neighborhoods that reflect our values of dignity, recovery, and care for all. We don't just clean the streets—we give back to the communities that have given us so much.
Additionally, maintaining the area around the Access Center is about more than aesthetics; it’s about creating a space where everyone feels welcome, respected, and seen. This work also helps strengthen our relationships with downtown businesses, neighbors, and partners.
