Our sister organizations approach this work in complementary ways. The Access Project provides community-based services, education, and resources for people in recovery, people who use drugs, young people, and families. The Action Project advances change through community organizing and legislative advocacy. Each has its own Board responsible for its leadership, oversight, and long-term sustainability.

We believe the people closest to the challenges should help shape the solutions. If you bring lived or living experience of substance use, recovery, incarceration, or homelessness, your perspective belongs in organizational leadership. We also welcome family members, allies, and people with experience in areas such as finance, fundraising, advocacy, public health, law, and nonprofit governance.

Board members help set direction, oversee organizational finances, support the Executive Director, and ensure we remain accountable to the communities we serve. The commitment includes participating in monthly meetings, reviewing materials in advance, and contributing to committee work as needed. We are looking for people who will ask thoughtful questions, bring their perspectives, listen to others, and stand behind our commitment to community organizing, dignity, evidence-based solutions, and all pathways of recovery.
